New Pantheon 2
If you are a new reader, you might want to subscribe to “Holiday Wars” as well as start reading it from the beginning. Once you’re caught up on the main storyline then checkout the side stories in “Tales of Holiday’s Past.”
So this is the real origin of The Big Six. Obviously, Thanksgiving isn’t around yet because the Holiday hasn’t been celebrated yet. However it’s still pretty cool to see what they all looked like.
XD Believe me Santa, you are not the one who will change the more.
Also my question still unanswered how did Thanksgiving became one of the Big Six if she is only celebrated in the United States?
It's celebrated by Canada too!
And your question can really be answered by where our story takes place. In The U.S., Thanksgiving is a major major major Holiday. That means her power/strength/life is wayyy above the average Holiday. So with a story set in the U.S. it makes sense that she would be one of the most powerful Holidays.
You've already established that holidays become much more powerful when they are actively celebrated. Does this mean that their power also varies with proximity to the celebrants?
Thanksgiving isn't only celebrated in the US. Canada celebrates it on a different day. A number of other countries also have days set aside for giving thanks. The Hebrews have Succoth, for example. That's why I was wondering if Thanksgiving had existed as a lesser holiday before hitting it big in the Americas.
PS: Your four proofreaders missed "changes".
Freaking typos. Uhhhhhgghhh. I quit trying to fix them. I always fail.
Specifically with what we are talking about in regards to Thanksgiving, no it doesn't matter whether she is near those that celebrate her.
What I was implying is that because her power base is here in the U.S. it makes sense that she would set-up shop there. But she's equally strong no matter where she is on Earth.
Fixed.
And Norfolk Island.
Yeah, that's a good example.
Stagnant, not stagnate.
Not my fault. I had four people (two of which are editors) proof this ToHP story!
I'll fix it tomorrow when I do a batch of lettering.
Fixed!
It still creeps me out how Eastre became a male bunny…
Anyone else find that disturbing? Even a liiiiiittle creepy?
And Saint Valentine became a girl, if what Scott said a while ago is true. This is so strange, yet in a good and interesting way…
I take the blame for Valentine's Day. I wanted the modern version of her to be a female character.
As for Eastre & The Bunny. That's all real history. Eastre was a goddess. Our modern day Easter Bunny is male. Not my fault.
I can't seem to find any info on who Eastre is………
