RETREAT!!!
Woohoo good guys!
Yeah, it's about time SOMETHING goes right for them.
Question, whey doesn't Gaia also have fire elementals fighting as well? Come on I know some of you were thinking the same thing, that I want to hear so obvious jokes regarding roasted turkey and chicken.
Yes fire elementals are one of her minions (we even saw one way back in Act I when Haven was first introduced. Look in the background/foreground of those pages), but for this fight we saw that she kind of pulled them from the actual environment. Since there were no active fires there were no fire elementals to pull from. Plus I was trying to keep it even: Three types of minions fighting for The Bunny and three types of elementals fighting for Earth Day.
If it makes you feel better they show up in a big way in "Holiday Wars Volume 2: Winter's Wrath."
What is that big dark cloud?? I think I see cupids being carried off in it!
I think it is cupids fleeing.
I'm kind of curious too. It's making me think of bats, which would be a good tie-in for how Tegan gets there (Halloween giving her lift) or it could be The Fool. Either way, it doesn't bode well for one of the sides.
Doug's right. It's the cupids. I think Michael just got tired of drawing them as detailed as he has been doing the past few pages. So he put them higher up in the air so he could draw them smaller.
Not so sure about the cloud. If Halloween wasnt neutral i'd say its bats.
A question by the way: Doesn't the death of the holiday effects humankinds perception on it in some way?
Humans are completely unaffected by a Holiday's life or death. The holidays (the actual days & events that humans celebrate) power the Holidays (the characters in the story); not the other way around.
I was wondering when there was going to be some actual warring in Holdiay WARS.
And what exactly would count as "warring?"
This. This counts as warring. See, I was wondering, but I am wondering no longer because now there is warring.
Are Gaia's elementals limited to the four classical elements, or do they also include wood and metal?
The four.
This is getting so Good! Loving the full pages!
