If you are a new reader, you might want to subscribe to “Holiday Wars” as well as start reading it from the beginning.
Here it is! The first episode of “Tales of Holiday’s Past.” This story is four pages, but as you can see they are DOUBLE our regular episode size so really it’s like eight episodes.
I started with this one because I really wanted to show the span of continuity. We are going to be jumping all around in time from around 1100 A.D. to the present. So I figured this nice little period piece would be a great way to kick things off.

I read through the Holiday Wars archive a little while ago and promptly bookmarked your site so I could keep up – I should probably take this opportunity to say that I think it is an awesome comic!
Are you aware, though, that in panel two of this page the correct archaic usage is ‘Pope Gregory hath decreed’, not ‘Pope Gregory doth decreed’? The difference is fairly jarring.
I can’t tell if that’s just supposed to be a parody of archaic language – if that is the case I apologize for bringing it up.
